At the Ocean's Edge

This is a popular sport-fishing region famous for giant salmon and monster halibut. Secure moorage is readily available minutes away in the harbour at Port Renfrew. Further down the coast, both Sombrio Beach and Jordan River are well-known locales much favoured by hardy surfers.

Although virtually all of this area has been logged for its valuable timber at some time in the past, San Juan Point escaped the chainsaws, and is still graced with lush, original groves of towering, majestic Western Redcedar, Sitka Spruce, Western Hemlock and Douglas-fir looming over a verdant understory of fern, Salal and Huckleberry - one of the richest and most diverse eco-systems in all of North America.

The point borders Botanical Beach Provincial Park with its famous tidepools, is adjacent to the trailhead of the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail, and is close to the southern end of the acclaimed West Coast Trail in Pacific Rim National Park. There has been a recent survey of the gazetted road into the property. This unique parcel offers endless possibilities limited only by your imagination, enjoys prime winter stormwatching, and could easily become an ecotourism paradise.
